CNY Consumer Price Index (YoY)(Nov):
The Consumer Price Index (CPI), released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China on a monthly basis, measures changes in the price level of consumer goods and services purchased by residents. The CPI is a key indicator to measure inflation and changes in purchasing trends. The YoY reading compares prices in the reference month to the same month a year earlier. Generally, a high reading is seen as bullish for the Renminbi (CNY), while a low reading is seen as bearish.
USD Consumer Price Index (YoY)(Nov):
Inflationary or deflationary tendencies are measured by periodically summing the prices of a basket of representative goods and services and presenting the data as The Consumer Price Index (CPI). CPI data is compiled on a monthly basis and released by the US Department of Labor Statistics. The YoY reading compares the prices of goods in the reference month to the same month a year earlier.The CPI is a key indicator to measure inflation and changes in purchasing trends. Generally speaking, a high reading is seen as bullish for the US Dollar (USD), while a low reading is seen as bearish.
EUR ECB Press Conference:
Following the European Central Bank’s (ECB) economic policy decision, the ECB President gives a press conference regarding monetary policy. The president’s comments may influence the volatility of the Euro (EUR) and determine a short-term positive or negative trend. If the president adopts a hawkish tone it is considered bullish for the EUR, whereas if the tone is dovish the result is usually bearish for the Euro.
JPY Tankan Large Manufacturing Index(Q4):
The Tankan Large Manufacturing Index released by the Bank of Japan presents overall business conditions of the large manufacturing companies in Japan. It is an indicator of the Japanese economy as Japan heavily relies on the manufacturing industry that leads growth for the export-oriented economy. A result above the 0 level is seen as positive (or bullish) for the JPY, whereas a result below 0 is seen as negative (or bearish).
